Never drink and drive
If you drink and drive the consequences can be terrible. Most of these consequences should be obvious, but one that is rarely considered is the response of insurance companies. Insurers take drink driving convictions very seriously, many will not accept convicted drink drivers, others will increase their premiums by at least 100% or reduce the level of cover (e.g from comprehensive to third party, fire and theft). This will usually last for a number of years.
